| Osteoporosis: of old postmenopausal women is the most important problem in the world,and that, it is also the important task of gerontology.Modern medicine use hormone replacement therapyC HRT) treat this kind of disease,but it has many latent side effect.However, there is rich experience on it in our traditional medicine.Based on combing the experience of predecessors with recent development of research and concluding our long -time experience of clinical practise,we regard that the method of "Support kidney fortify Qi and removing blood stasis dredge collaterals"could prevent and cure osteoporosis.Method: We divided the 66 cases of the old postmenopausal women into three groups,the group of "Zhuang Gu capsule" the group of "Bu Gu Zhi soup"and the group of "Conjugated estrogens and Medroxyprogesterone".And after half year we mensurated the BMD and blood biochemistry.Results: (1)The groups which used Chinese traditional medicine: the values representing bone form increased significance (P<0.05) ,the changes of content of Ca,P in the bone were of no statistical significance ( P>0.05 ) .We mensurated the BMP of lumbar and coax,and found the alterative current,but about half year the change of cubitus ,BMP, was significant ( P<0.004 ) . (2) The group which use Western medicine:ALP increased significance ( P<0.01) ,the content of Ca,P in the bone were of no statistical significance ( P>0.05) .The groups which used Chinese traditional medicine compare with the group which used Western medicine ,the BMP increased significance (P<0,05) . Conclude: Zhuang Gu capsule Bu Gu Zhi soup and Conjugated estrogens and Medroxyprogesterone can prevent theosseous drop.Moreover, "Bu Gu Zhi soup and Zhuang Gu capsule" have more better than hormone in avail the formation of bone and increasing ossous amount,and have no side effect.So the Zhuang Gu capsule Bu Gu soup are the better medicine in curing Osteoporosis of old postmenopausal women.
