Study On The Relation Between Platelet Glycoprotein CD61,CD62p Expression And Malignant Tumor

Object: CD62p is a newly found member of selectin family and specific marker of activated platelet. It has been demonstrated that CD62p could induce adhension action between tumor cell and platelet,white cell and vascular endothelial cell. In order to explore CD62p expression and activation of platelet in tumor patient, and provide a clinical index for evaluating state of illness and prognosis, we designed this research.Method: collect 30 malignant tumor patients who was in hospital at our department during 2003.5~2003.8 as research objects, 10 healthy blood donors as control objects. We filtered platelet by CD61 monoclonal antibody with FCM at the first step to wipe off cell fragments and assure research veracity, then detected CD62p on platelet membrane. Compare the results between research and control objects, and evaluate the effect of TNM stage,pathologic type,metastasis of lymph node,bone and viscus as well as surgery on CD62p expression and activation of platelet.Result: Platelet CD61 positive rate of research and control group is 85.73±4.77,87.25±3.17 respectively,which is not statistically different. Platelet CD62p positive rate of research group is 70.76±8.71, which is statistically higher than that of control group, which is 41.18±7.34. TNM stage,pathologic type,metastasis of lymph node,bone and viscus as well as surgery has no effect on CD62p expression and activation of platelet. CD62p positive rate of non-surgery group is 77.69±4.89, which is statistically higher than that of surgery group, indicating CD62p expression and activation of platelet of the former is higher than that of the latter.Conclusion: 1. Platelet CD61 positive rate is not increased in malignant tumor patients. 2. CD62p positive rate and activation of platelet are both increased in malignant tumor. 3. CD62p expression and activation of platelet in malignant tumor patient are positively correlated with cancer load.
