| Objective I To research for the levels among endotoxin, Interleukin-10( IL-10 ), Tumor necrosis factor -a (TNF- a ), and so as to explore the correlation among them in patients with cirrhosis. Methods: All patients were divided into three groups (group A : 20 cases; B: 16 cases ;C: 10 cases ) base on Child-pugh standard . Control group 16 cases come from healthy volunteers. Testing Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), TNF-a ,IL-10 of peripheral blood in these 4 groups, LPS lever was measured by using chromogenic limulus amebocyte lysate test(LAL). TNF- a with radioimmunoassay(RIA); IL-10 with ELISA.Results: Serum LPS TNF- a levels in patients with cirrhosis were significantly higher than those of healthy control (p<0.01) , and they also have significantly different between Child-pugh A and Child-pugh C (p<0.05) . Comparing with those of healthy control serum IL-10 levels in patients were also significantly higher in statistics excepting those in Child-pugh A .The mean serum concentrations of TNF- a increased according with LPS in patients with cirrhosis , and the levels of TNF- a positively correlated with levels of LPS (rLPS.TNF.a=0.354 p<0.05 ). But not with IL-10 Conclusions: 1 The levels of LPS in patients with cirrhosis are higher than those of healthy control. 2 There are positive correlation between serum LPS and TNF- a in patients with cirrhosis. 3 IL-10 have significantly different between Child-pugh A and Child-pugh C. |
