Objective: To determine that allergic rhinitis is close associated with a shift in the imbalance between cytokine produced by Thl/Th2 cells and studied the relationship of mechanism in allergic rhinitis effector cells chemokine polarized T helper cell and the effection of IgE. Methods: 23 cases patients with allergic rhinitis, 12 cases patients with chronic rhinitis and 10 cases heath volunteers.adopt enzyme-linked immunoabsorbant assay and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay detect their serum cytokine, IgE contents. Cytokine production was measured in the supernatants of peripheral blood monocytes (PBMC) by using flow cytomety. Results: We found that IL-4, IL-5,IL-10,sCD23 levels in allergic subjects were significantly higher then in the group.(p<0.05) but not clear significantly in the chronic rhinitis, that IFN-gamma. sIL-2R,TNF- a levels in allergic rhinitis were lower then in the control group (p<0.05). The serum IgE levels in AR patients were significantly higher then in the group (p<0.01). There are many CD20, CD45RO and CD21 positive cells in the mucus of patients with allergic rhinitis. Conclusion: in the allergic rhinitis the function of Thl is weak but the function of Th2 is strong. Patients with allergic rhinitis in vivo system Thl andTh2 cells balance were destroyed.
