ObjectiveLupus Nephritis (LN) is one of the most xommonly seen secondary glomerular proteinuria. At present, the main methods of the western medicine to treat LN are adrenocortical hormones and immunosuppressine drugs. The western medicine often requests a long course of treatment and produces a lot of side effect. According to the random and control principle of clinical study, we seted up the treatment group with the traditional Chinese medicine and the control group to observe the clinical curative effect with the method of the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, to observe the situation of decreasing the side effect of adrenocortical hormones and CTX and decreasing the incidence of infection, to observe the effect of bever of the blood IL-6 of the patients who are anxious LN, to find the effect of the tradional Chinese medicine on curing LN, and to provide basis for finding more effective treating method.MethodAll of the patients of two groups came from the inpatients and outpatients of the first subsidiary hospital of Chinese medicine university in Guangzhou from Jun. 2003 to Dec. 2004. Both of the groups conform to the diagnosis standard of LN. The treatment group were treated with the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine .
