Objective: 1. Study the relation between the main clinical symptom and the indexes of spleen Qi deficiency syndrome. Indexes are the activation ratio of salivary amylase and acetyl choline esterase; 2. Study the relation between salivary amylase and acetyl choline esterase; 3. Set up the syndrome differentiating function with the indexes of salivary amylase and acetyl choline esterase.Method: 1. Compare the two indexes (the activation ratio of salivary amylase and acetyl choline esterase) among the three groups (spleen Qi deficiency syndrome, wet and heat of spleen syndrome, normal one) respectively with One-Way ANOVA; 2. Analyze the relation between the two indexes with Linear Regression; 3. Analyze the relation between the symptoms and indexes with Spearman; 4. Set up differentiating function of syndrome with Discriminant.Result: 1. As to the activation ratio of the salivary amylase and the activation of acetyl choline esterase, the syndrome of spleen qi deficiency is inferior to the normal one, while the wet and heat of spleen is superior to the normal one.2. The relation between the acetyl choline esterase activation and active ratio of salivary amylase are presented to be positive and straight line. 3. As to the spleen qi deficiency, there are no gradient relations between the main symptoms and indexes. While to the wet and heat syndrome, there are positive relation between the symptom of abdominal distension and index of activation ratio of the salivary amylase, thirsty and the acetyl choline esterase; 4. General accuracy rate of differentiating function of syndrome is 81.4%. Conclusion: 1. Patients of spleen qi deficiency are dyspepsia, whose vagal nerve functions are hyper function. 2. The salivary amylase activityration of spleen qi deficiency patient is low due to hyper function of vagal nerve. 3. Spleen qi deficiency symptoms are produced by many way, and the salivary amylase activation is only an important mechanism which symptoms take place; 4. The function can be an assistant way to diagnose the syndrome of spleen qi deficiency .
