Expression Of E-cadherin,MMP-9,TIMP-1 In Gastric Carcinoma And Its Biological Behavior And Prognosis

Objective: To study the relationship between E-cadherin, MMP-9, TIMP-1 with the occurring, progressing and prognosis of patients with gastric carcinoma (GC). Methods : Using immunohistochemical staining to examine the expression of MMP-9, TIMP-1, E-cadherin in archival wax-embedded specimens of 46 GC. Results: The positive expression rate (PRE) of E-cadherin in GC was 45.6%(21/46), the PRE of MMP-9in GC was 60.8% (21/46) and TIMP-1 was 47.8% (22/46) .The PRE of E-cadherin in GC of invasive serosa was significantly lower than it in GC of invasive mucosa or submucosa .,the PRE of E-cadherin in GC of invasive serosa was higher than it in GC of invasive inherent muscle and was statistic difference significantly among them (P<0.05).The PRE of E-cadherin in GC tissue with well differentiated adenocarcinoma was higher than it with poorly differentiated (P=<0.01) . The PRE of E-cadherin in GC between lymph node metastasis and without lymph node metastasis was significant ( P<0.01), the PRE of E-cadherin in I stage GC was higher than Ⅲstage GC and was significant (P=0.001). The survival time has a significance between group≤ 1 years and group>3 year≤5 (P=0.003) and also between group> 1 year≤3 and group >3 year≤5 (P=0.003) .The PRE of MMP-9 in GC tissue with well differentiated adenocarcinoma was higher than it (P<0.01) and it with moderately differentiated was lower with poorly differentiated (P<0.05).There were significant among them. The PRE of MMP-9 in GC between lymph node metastasis and without lymph node metastasis was significant ( P<0.01), The PRE of MMP-9 in I stage GC was higher than Illstage (P=0.004) and II stage GC was also higher than Illstage (P=0.021) .there was significance among them respectively (P=0.001). the PRE of MMP-9 in I stage GC was higher than Illstage GC and was significant (P=0.001). The survival time has a significant diffience between group≤ 1 years and group>3 year≤5 (P=0.01) and also...
