Objective To investigate the contain of collagen I, collagenIII and fibronectin inhepatic tissue of CCL4 reduced rat liver fibrosis. To study the effect of different dose ofshosaikoto on rat liver fibrosis. It is expected that the mechanism how to preventexperimental liver fibrosis by shosaikoto can be disclosed through this experiment. Methods The hepatic fibrosis rat model was induced by introperitoneal injection of40% CCL4 and interfered with different dose of shosaikoto. The contain of collagen I,collagen III and fibronectin was checked by immunal histochemistry. Results (1) On the 12th week, the contain of collagen I, collagen III and fibronectin inmodel groups increased significantly compared with normal control group;on the 12thweek, contain of collagen I, collagen III and fibronectin in model groups increasedsignificantly compared with the 6th week model group.(2) In comparision with model group of the same time, the degree of proliferation ofcollagenous fibers in the liver reduced significantly in the therapeutic groups;(3)There was no difference in the collagen I, collagen III and fibronectin among the threetherapeutic groups of the same time. Conclusion When hepatic fibrosis happens, contain of collagen I, collagen III andfibronectin increases. Shosaikoto could significantly reduced the proliferation degree ofcollagenous fiber.
