Methods: Expression of Survivin and Caspase—3 in 92 HCC patients were assessed by Envision immunohistochemistry staining. Results: The Survivin expression was detected in 56 among 92 case of HCC(56/92, 60.8%) . The expression rate of Survivin was higher in HCC group than that of the adjacent nontumorous liver groups(P<0. 05). There was significant correlation between the expression of Survivin in HCC and the tumor thrombus in portal vein (P<0. 05). Caspase—3 expression rate was 60. 8%. The expression rate of Caspase—3 was lower in HCC group than that of the adjacent nontumorous liver groups(P<0. 05).Conclusions: Survivin is up-regulated and Caspase—3 is down-regulated protein expressed in HCC. The intrahepatic hematogenous metastasis is related to expression of Survivin. Our result suggested that expression of Survivin is the factor which indicate a poor prognosis for HCC. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), Survivin, Caspase-3 | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
