Objective:To discuss the TCM and modern medical mechanism of unstable angina pectoris(UAP) on base of previous research; To observe the therapeutic effect and mechanism on treatment of UAP with lipid-reducing Hongqu Xuezhikang through compared with the clinical effect of Atorvastatin; and provide scientific proof for its clinical application and development. Methods: 60 cases of unstable angina pectoris disease were divided into 3 groups: group A,20 cases, treated with normal medicine, and not to add any lipid-reducing medicine; group B,20 cases, treated with normal medicine and Xuezhikang; group C,20 cases, treated with normal medicine and Atorvastatin ;group D, 20 healthy persons as to be compared. We mainly observed such indexes as clinical symptom, clinic effect rate of traditiona Chinese medicine,EKG effect and the level of blood-lipid,ET,NO, CRP.TNF, IL-6, IL-8 Results: Before using medicine, the average blood-lipid level,ET,CRP,TNF,IL-6 and IL-8 of group A,B and C are all higher than group D,P<0.05, NO is lower than group D,P<0.05; More data show that group B and group C are all prior to the group A,P<0.05 and P<0.01,and there are no obvious differences between group B and group C. The total clinic effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine of group B was higher than that of group A and group C, P<0.05.Conclusion:Lipid metaboly turbulence,Vascular endothelium injury and inflammation play very important roles in UA. Besides reducing lipids during UA therapy, statins can also improve Vascular endothelium functions and lighten inflammation character reaction of pathological changes. they can greatly improve theclinic curative effect of UA patients .Lipid-reducing Hongqu Xuezhikang is a kind of Chinese traditional medicine,it has no obvious difference with Atorvastatin in reducing lipids, improving Vascular endothelium functions and resisting inflammation. So such nature statin, which is called hongqu, could be widely used in clinic.
