Objective: To research on the functions and mechanism of Qiguiyimailing(QGYML) in preventing tachy-arrhythmia; to supply the theoretical basis for treating of the tachy-arrhythmia by Chinese traditional medicine.Materrials andmethods: Select the white rats of Wistar kinds with the weight of 200-250g, without the difference of sex. Pick up 50 healthy rats for each group, divide them randomly into contrasting group, NaCl group, QGYML group I (25g herb/kg/time), QGYML group II (50g herb/kg/time), Amiodarone(54mg/kg/ 次) groups with 10 rats in each sub-group. Give the rats medicine every morning into stomach directly for 7 days. Apply Adrenaline and Lanatoside Digilanid C to the rats to stimulate the tachy-arrhythmia, then detect the OTR, RTSR, toxic time of Lanatoside Digilanid C of each group, determine the SOD, MDA, and the content of Na+-K+-ATPase enzyme by phlebotomizing, inspect the resisting function of QGYML to Adrenaline and Lanatoside Digilanid C , and the effects of it on SOD, MDA, Na+-K+-ATP enzyme. Results: By contrasting with the NaCl group, QGYML can obviously prolong the OTR (P<0.01) and shorten the RTSR (P<0.05), showing the similar results with Amiodarone.QGYM1 can prolong the toxic time of Lanatoside Digilanid C on rats, improve the living time of rats, representing the great difference (P<0.01) by comparing with NaCl. There is no big difference with Amiodarone on the toxic time, but it improves the living time of rats with Lanatoside Digilanid C (P<0.01).QGYML can improve the avidity of SOD and ATP, decrease the content of MDA, increase the avidity of Na+-K+-ATPase enzyme.
