| The present experiment was designed to elucidate the pharmacological effect of the basic B-glucan, acidic B-glucan and insoluble B-glucans extracts of Candida Albicans on the leukocytopoiesis-promoting in the leukopenia mice. Mature male mice were divided into following six groups, normal control, negative control, positive control (rhG-CSF), Candida albican basic B-glucan CABBG, Candida albican acidic B-glucan CAABG, and Candida albican insoluble B-glucan CAIBG group.Mice of each group except the normal control group were administered cyclophosphamide intraperitoneally(100 mg/kg d~-1, every day for 3days) to develop leucopenia. In the normal control group, the animals were untreated; in the negative control group, every mouse was administered sterile water for injection for six days intravenously; in the positive control group (rhG-CSF), every mouse was administered G-CSF (30 μg/kg d~-1) intravenously for six days; in the experimental group (CABBG, CAABG, CAIBG) were administered CABBG CAABG CAIBG (CABBG 2.5 mg/kg-d~-1,CAABG 6.0 mg/kg d~-1,CAIBG 51.2 mg/kg d~-1) intravenously for six days, respectively. The peripherial leukocytes of all mice were counted before treated CTX, and 1, 3, 5, 7 days after treated CTX.The conclusion is that all of the experimental group especially CAIBG group can increase the numbers of leukocytes in the peripheral blood. CAIBG of Candida albicans is a kind of immunomodulator which has better effect and has prosperous future for clinical generalizing. It is worthy to future research. |
