Nigella glandulifera Preyn et Sint belongs to Nigella of Raunnculaceae, and the seed of the plant is used as medicine. It distributes in tulufan shanshan of Xinjiang.Nigella glandulifera Preyn et Sint is the traditional herb of minority in Xinjiang. It has aboundant resource, considerable reserves. Many chemical constituents were obtained, which were Nigeglanoside, Nigeglanose, Cyclolandenol, β-sitosterol, Saccharose, Fuzitinechloride, and ect.Nigella glandulifera Preyn et Sint is special herb in Xinjiang, have been considered as one of the valuable herb to develop. We studied the chemical constituents of Nigella glandulifera Preyn et Sint, and isolated six compounds from n-Butanol extract fraction and Petroleum ether extract fraction, and they were testified by chemical and spectrum means such as UV, 1H-NMR, (13)C-NMR and etc. They are β-sitosterol (C29H50O), Saccharose (C12H22O11), cis-Octadecy1-9, 12-diene (C18H30O2), cholesterol (C27H46O), stigmasterol (C29H48O) and Nigeglanoside (C33H40O21) .Cholesterol and cis-Octadecyl-9, 12-diene were isolated from Nigella glandulifera Preyn et Sint in Xinjiang for the first time.
