The Expression Of CD44s,CD44v6,MMP-2,MMP-9,TIMP-1 And TIMP-2 And Their Significance In Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Objective: l.To investigate the expression of CD44s, CD44v6, MMP-2,MMP-9, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC), adjacent non-cancerous lung tissues and benign pulmonary tissues;2.To investigate the relationship between the expression of them and pathological style, pathological grade and lymph node metastasis;3.To analyse their correlation with each other.Methods: The expression of CD44s, CD44v6, MMP-2 , MMP-9, TIMP-1and TIMP-2 was detected in 124 NSCLC, 124 adjacent non-cancerous lung tissues and 10 benign pulmonary tissues by immunohistochemical method.Results:l.The expression of CD44s, CD44v6, MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1and TIMP-2 in NSCLC was significantly higher than that in adjacent non-cancerous lung tissues and benign pulmonary tissues(P<0.05);2.The expression of CD44v6 in adenocarcinoma and adenosquamous cell carcinoma was significantly higher than that in squamous cell carcinoma(P<0.05);The expression of MMP-2 in squamous cell carcinoma was significantly higher than that in adenocarcinoma and adenosquamous cell carcinoma(P<0.05);The expression of TIMP-2 in squamous cell carcinoma was significantly higher than that in adenocarcinoma(P<0.05);The expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than that in squamous cell carcinoma(P<0.05);3.In NSCLC,there was significant increase for the expression of CD44s, CD44v6, MMP-2 , MMP-9 , TIMP-1 andTIMP-2 along with the elevation of TNM grade(P<0.05);4. Compared to the cases without lymph node and/or distant metastasis,the expression of CD44s^ CD44v6> MMP-2> MMP-9 > TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 was significantly higher in the cases with lymph node and/or distant metastasis(P<0.05);5.The expression of CD44s > CD44v6> MMP-2> MMP:9, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 was related to histological differentiation(P<0.05);6.The expression of CD44s> CD44v6^ MMP-2> TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 was not related to size> location gender and age(P>0.05);but the expression of MMP-9 in women was higher than that in men,which there was significant correlationship between women and men(P<0.05);7.The expression of CD44s, CD44v6, MMP-2> MMP-9, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 had significantly positive correlation with each other(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Over-expression of these proteins was very popular inNSCLC,which was closely related to the progression of tumor;2.These proteins made for judging the metastasis of lymph node, pathological style> grade and differentiation, at the same time,they were closely related to the progression and metastasis of tumor;3.The expression of MMP-9 was related to gender,which showed that sex hormones regulated the expression of MMP-9;4.During the progression of NSCLC,CD44s, CD44v6^ MMP-2, MMP-9> TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 assisted with each other.
