【Aims】To explore the connection of the expressions of VEGF-C and CD44V6 proteins and the biologic behave of non-small cell lung cancer, and provide some theories for early diagnosis and treatment to non-small cell lung cancer, through detection of the expressions of VEGF-C and CD44V6 proteins in non-small cell lung cancer, and the adjacent normal tissues.【Methods】Immunohistochemistry(PowerVision) method is used to detect the expression of VEGF-C and CD44V6 proteins in 65 cases of non-small cell lung cancer, and 10 cases of the adjacent normal tissues. The SSPS 15.0 software package was used for statistical analysis. According to the clinicopathologic factors, the difference of VEGF-C and CD44V6 expression was compared by Chi-square and Fisher's Exact test.【Results】1. Of all specimens, 38(38/65) lung cancer tissues and 0 paratumor tissues were positive for VEGF-C, and there was a significant difference between them (X2=11.85 ,P< 0.01 ). VEGF-C expression was found higher in tumors with lymph node metastasis than in those without it(X2= 6.292,P<0.05). However, no significant correlations with age, histological differentiation were demonstrated for VEGF-C expression. 2. Of all specimens, 54 (54/65)lung cancer tissues and 1 (1/10)paratumor tissues were positive for CD44V6, and there was a significant difference between them (X2= 23.667 ,P<0.001 ). CD44V6 expression was found higher in tumors with lymph node metastasis than in those without it(X2= 6.790 ,P<0.01). However, no significant correlations with age, histological differentiation were demonstrated for CD44V6 expression. 3. The expressions of VEGF-C and CD44V6 proteins in non-small cell lung cance rare positive related(OR= 0.369 ,P<0.05) 4.The both positive expression rate of VEGF-C and CD44V6 proteins in non-small cell lung cancer with the lymphatic transfer 72%,while the both negative expression rate in the group of non-small cell lung cancer with the lymphatic transfer was11%,there was significantly difference.【Conclusions】1.The positive expressions of VEGF-C protein in non-small cell lung cancer cases was significantly higher than those in the adjacent normal cases .2.The positive expressions of CD44V6 protein in non-small cell lung cancer cases was significantly higher than those in the adjacent normal cases.3.The expression rates of VEGF-C and CD44V6 proteins were not related to clinic stage and the grade of differentiation.4.The expressions of VEGF-C and CD44V6 proteins in non-small cell lung cance rare positive related.5.The rates both positive expressions of CD44V6 and VEGF-C proteins in non-small cell lung cancer with lymphatic trasfer are higher than those in non-small cell lung cancer without lymphatic trasfer.Which piont out that VEGF-C and CD44V6 maybe accelebrate the invasion and transfer of non-small cell lung cancercases. Detect the expression of VEGF-C and CD44V6 protiens in non-small cell lung cancer maybe forecase the early transfer of non-small cell lung cancer cases...
