Clinical Study On The Effects Of Treating Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease With Fei Sai Tong He Ji

Objective:To observe the effects on treating COPD with Fei Sai Tong He Ji. Methods: 60 confirmed COPD in stable stage patients were randomly divided into two groups .30 patients of the treated group were treated with Fei Sai Tong He Ji assisted with western medicine.30 patients in control group were treated with western medicine simply .the effects were observed and the related items were measured before and after the treatment. Results: The clinical study showed that the effects of the treated group were more significant than that of the control group(P<0.05).we also found pulmonary ventilator function such as FEV1%and FEV1/FVC were increased more significantly than that in control group(P<0.05) .Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin-8(IL-8) in treatment group were decreased more significantly than that in contorl group (P<0.05).Conclusion: Fei Sai Tong He Ji has the significant effect in treating COPD. The functionary mechanism for its treating COPD may be relative to its inhibiting TNF-αand IL-8 released.
