Objective:To explore the changes of inflammation markers CRP, sICAM-1 in sera in each stage of coronary heart disease(CHD) and the association in the infection of Chlamydia pneumoniae (Cpn) and CHD.To evaluate their clinical relation among inflammation, infection and CHD.This may contribute to prevent, diagnosis, treat and prognosis coronary heart disease in clinic. Methods:Serum C-reactive protein(CRP) , soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) and serum IgG, IgM antibodies to Chlamydia pneumoniae were detected by Enzyme-lined Immunosorbent Assay(ELISA) in 60 patients with CHD, are divided into four groups : acute myocardial infarction(AMI) , unstable angina pectoris(UAP), old myocardial infarction(OMI) and stable angina pectoris(SAP), and compared with 20 healthy subjects. Results:â‘ Serum CRP and sICAM-1 in all patients with CHD or in each group with CHD were significantly elevated compared with control groups (t=3.4207~ 13.4066, P<0.01);In AMI, the levels of CRP and sICAM-1 were significantly higher than in UAP, OMI and SAP (t=3.2207~7.0543, P<0.01);The levels of CRP and sIC AM-1 in UAP were higher than in SAP(t=2.3349~3.594, P<0.05~0.01) .â‘¡Cpn-IgG-positive rates and levels in all patients with CHD were significantly elevated compared with control group (x~2=12.8171, t=5.4992, PO.01), Cpn-IgM-positive rates in CHD were not higher than those in control group (x~2=2.4989, P>0.05);Cpn-IgG-positive rates and levels in each group with CHD were higher than these in control groups (x~2=4.3750~ 8.8874, t=2.1480~5.1784, P<0.05~0.01);Cpn-IgG-positive rates among each group weren't different significantly (x~2=0.3704~ 1.1538, P>0.05);Cpn-IgG levels in AMI were higher than OMI, UAP and SAP (t=2.2164~3.2922, P<0.05~0.01);Cpn-IgM-positive rates in all patients with CHD or in each group with CHD weren't different compared with control groups (x~2=0.0042~ 1.6484, P>0.05) .â‘¢There was correlation between the levels of CRP, sICAM-1 and Cpn-IgG in all patients with CHD (r=0.334, 0.488, 0.521, p<0.05~0.01) .Conclusion:?The levels of CRP and sICAM-1 in patients with CHD were elevated more significantly in control group, The levels of CRP and sICAM-1 in AMI were higher than any other group and the levels of CRP and sICAM-1 were elevated in patients with UAP than in SAP, which suggesting that inflammation participates in occurance and devepment of CHD, The levels of CRP and sIC AM-1 may reflect the severity of CHD at some degree.(2)There is high level and positive rate of Cpn-IgG in patients with CHD, moreover the positive rate of Cpn-IgM is not different between patients with CHD and control group, suggesting the Cpn infection may be associated with CHD. Perennial, chronic and repeated Cpn infection may initiated the occurance or accelerate the devepment of CHD.(3)There is correlation between the levels of CRP> sICAM-1 and Cpn-IgG in all patients with CHD, suggesting Cpn infection may produce or aggravate the inflammation in the coronary artery, resulting in the occurance and devepment together.Postgraduate: Cheng Shiqing(Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics) Directed by: Professor LiuChengyu...
