Objective: To investigate the effects of Luo Bi Tong on diabetic peripheral neuropathy, blood glucose, g lycosylated hemoglobin ,sciatic nerve conduction velocity, Na~+/k~+-ATPase activity in diabetic rat. Identifying Luo Bi Tong's action target and mechanism pharmacodynamic action. Method: (1)To establish the model rat with DPN: Wister rats hello with high glucose and hypsi — lipoids animal feeds in two months,inducing resist insulin, then low dose STZ 30-35mg/kg peritoneal injection to rat, to shape 2DM model rat. Keeping on observation about 8 weeks, by determining nerve conduction velocity, making assessment to DPN model rat. (2)Luo Bi Tong drug action observation: on the basis of NCV, to divide into DPN rat groups with random, normal, model, positive control, Luo Bi Tong with low, midst large dose, medication 8 weeks. To investigate the effects of Luo Bi Tong on blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, Na~+ /k~+-ATPase activity, hemorrheology. Result: (1)DPN rat modeling doing well. (2)Luo Bi Tong can improve sensory function in DPN rat. (3)Luo Bi Tong degrade blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, there is difference compare with control group. (4)Luo Bi Tong can obviously loss Na~+ /k~+-ATPase activity, s ignificant deviation compare with control group in sciatic nerve (P<0.05). (5)Luo Bi Tong can improve hemorrheology. Conclusion: Luo Bi Tong have therapeutically effect to DPN rat, its reason is concerned with degrading BG, improving glycosylated hemoglobin, elevating Na~+ /k~+-ATPase activity, improving microcirculation.
