Objective: To study the growth of vessels in hepatic benign and malignant tumors with color power angiography (CPA), contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) and Pulse-inversion harmonic (PIH). The distribution of the blood flows in tumors was displayed with basic wave CPA before CEUS and in the best enhanced state of arterial phase after CEUS. The blood flows in tumors were counted quantificationally and half-quantificationally and the characteristics of blood supply were analyzed, so as to evaluate CEUS clinical value in detecting tumors' vessels. Methods: Forty-three cases of metastatic liver tumors (MLT) and 35 cases of hepatic benign and malignant tumors were examined with basic wave CPA and PIH CEUS. First, the position, size, shape and inner echo of tumors were detected with 2D gray-scale. Second, the blood flows supply of tumors were displayed with basic wave CPA and the distribution of tumors' vessels was observed at the same time. Third, the distribution of tumors' vessels and enhancement types of the lesions were observed in the best enhanced state of arterial phase after injection of ultrasound contrast agent (UCA). The...
