Objectives:NF-κB is a kind of nuclear factor, which distributes and affects widely. It plays a very important role in many physiological and pathological procedures, including immune response, inflammation reaction, as well as cell growth and development, etc. Especially in recent years, many oncologists pay more attentions to the intimate relationship between its distinguishing role of promoting cell proliferation and inhibiting apoptosis and cell malignant transformation. Caspase-3 /CPP-32 is an important member of caspase family. As a central role in cell apoptosis effector phase, it participates in corpuscular physiological and pathological death process. Some studies show that caspase-3 was expressed in many normal and tumor tissues, but its relationship to the biological behavior of tumor is still not quite clear. In this experiment, through the method of Immunohistochemistry,we investigate the expressions of NF-κBp65 and caspase-3 in order to explore their correlation in tumorigenesis and progression , and also to initially approach the role and clinical significance in hepatocellular carcinomas . Methods:Paraffin embedded tissues from 40 hepatocellular carcinomas and 12 non-neoplastic liver parenchyma(6 from sclerotic liver tissues and 6 from normal liver tissues)were collected in this research. By means of immunohistochemical Sp method, the expressions of NF-κBp65 and caspase-3 were compared between the hepatocellular carcinoma and non - neoplastic liver parenchyma tissues. Results:1. The positive expression rate of NF-κBp65 in hepatocellular...
