Background and ObjectiveAllergic rhinitis(AR) is clinically defined as a symptomatic disorder of the nose induced by an IgE-mediated chronic inflammation after allergen exposure. immune cells ,. cytokines and adhesion molecules involved in the AR's mechanism and played the key role. CD4~+T cells and the secretion of T helper-2 cytokines ( such as IL-4, IL-5, IL-13 etc)had extensive biofunction such as promoting the production of immunoglobulin E, attracting eosinophils into inflammation site, up-regulating the expression of adhesion molecules, sustaining the chronic inflammation variety in AR. In noble studies, Tripotolide(TP) can effectively inhibit the activation and production of the affective cells in AR,TP also can extensively inhibit the expression of cytokines and adhesion molecules. Compared with glucocorticosteroids, Triptolide(TP) had the same extensive effects of suppressing immunology as glucocorticosteroids without its side effects and had been successfully applied to treat asthma. This experiment observed the influence of TP on cytokines such as IL-5, IL-13 and Vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1), explored the mechanism...
