Objective To develop a new recombinant artificial bone graft material withdual effect of oster-conduction and oster-inducement as a substitute of auto-graft, allo-graft, xenogenic bone graft was the idea. To evaluate the short-term effect of platelet rich plasma with deproteinized xenogeneic in clinical application as a substitute of bone graft.Methods From June 2004 to February 2005, 40 patients with nonunion or comminuted fracture with bone defect of the femur were labeled as subject investigated. There were 34 males and 6 females with a average age of 35. 63 ±7.98, years ranging from 19 to 53 years. The patients were divided into experimental group and control group randomly according to the odevity of the last number of the ID number, and each group has 20 cases. The bone graft material of the experimental group was PRP/DXB, and the other group was DXB. The amount of drainage, the time of patient in hospital, the union time and grade of incision were observed after operation. At the same time, X-ray films were examined disconnectedly, in ordering to evaluate the curative effect. Based on the X-ray films, Lane-sandhu' s standard of perfection to the bone rehabilitation and computer image processing systems was used to evaluate the curative effect too.Results Of 40 patients, the temperatures were normal, and there were no infection, all incisions united with grade A. There were no difference between the two groups in the operation time, amount of bleeding and the time of in hospital; but the amount of drainage of the experimental group was less than the control group obviously after operation.
