Objective:To explore the effect of high pulmonary blood flow on pulmonary vascular remodeling and pulmonary hypertension in rats by left pneumonectomy, and the possible effects of hypoxia, hypoxia inducible factor-lα(HIF-1α) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in the mechanism of high pulmonary blood flow-induced pulmonary vascular remodeling and pulmonary hypertension.Methods:24 male SD rats were randomly divided into two groups: Experimental group(left pneumonectomy, n=12),Control group(sham operation, n=12).After 12 weeks of feeding, the mean pulmonary artery pressure(mPAP) of each rat were evaluated by using a right cardiac catheterization procedure;partial pressure of oxygen in artery(PaO2) was detected by blood taken from left ventricle;the ultrastructure of intra-acinar pulmonary artery of the rats lung specimens were examined by electron microscope;muscularize degree of the three kinds of small pulmonary vasculars were measured by light microscope multiply...
