Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis is a traditional Chinese medicine in common use. Pharmacopoeia in every edition of our country 'has its record. The purpose of the study is to discuss its quality assessment.Active component of Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis was made studying. The amount of Magnolol and Honokiol with certain degree of purity which accorded with the demands of the research topic was offered. The preparation technology was also offered and established. Simply operating and high efficiency preparation method were established.Studies on the quality evaluation method of Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis were discussed. The content includes HPLC—FPS analysis of Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis from ten different sources.
