Controled Study Of Detoxificated Effect Of Fuyuan Particle And Lofexidine Hydrochloride On Opiate Withdrawal Symptoms

Objective: Fuyuan particle is a new Chinese traditional medicine used for detoxification of opiate withdrawal symptoms.Pre-clinical pharmarcologic trials show that it can control the opiate withdrawal symptoms of animals and have no dependence potential. The objective is to investigate the clinical detoxificated effect,adverse effects and safety of Fuyuan particle through randomized double-blind test with Lofexidine . Subjects and Methods:80 patients randomly entered Fuyuan Particle group(40 cases) and Lofexidine group(40 cases) .Take medicine for 10 days with dose gradually decreasing. It's considered effeective if it has the same therapeutic effect as Lofexidine ; Estimatethe withdrawal symptoms and the adverse effects everyday be fore and after treatment 1 to 2 hours.Evaluate the anxious mood with HAMA before and after treatment 5th and 11th day.Examine the function of liver and kidney,blood cell count and Hb,ECG and TLC.Results:(l)All of 80 cases entered FAS,69 entered PPS,all of 80 cases entered safety set (2)The withdrawal symptoms value rapidly decreased after 3 days treatment of Fuyuan particle and Lofexidine .
