Analysis Of Curative Effect Using Zweymüller Cementless Hip Prosthesis For Hip Joint Disease

Objective: To study the results with the use of Zweymiiller cementless hip system for patients which had hip diseases. Methods: Total hip arthroplastis with insertion of a Zweymiiller cementless hip prosthesis were performed in 38 consecutive patients (44 hips) and get followed up. Results: 38 patients(44 hips)were followed up ranging from 1.6 to 5.2 years(average 3.2 years) , the average Harris hip score increased from 43 points to 87 points at final follow-up and the early choiceness rate reach 90%. Only 2 early complications occurred, including 1 dislocation 3 weeks after operation with successful closed reduction, and 1 dislocation 1 week after operation which needed surgery. Radiographic analysis demonstrated that the position of stems and cups was unchanged and all showed radiographic evidence of bone ingrowth. Conclusion: The favourable short-term clinical results with the cementless Zweymiiller hip system show that it is suitable as a system for total hip arthroplasty of cementless primary fixation.
