Objective: To observe the distribution of the Lipiodol Ultra-Fluid (LUF) after the portal vein injection in the Wistar rats with hepatic alveolar echinococcosis(HAE) and diacuss the blood supply of portal vein in the hepatic alveolar echinbcoccosis. Methods: The normal Wistar rats were divided into 2 groups with statistic random:(l) the control group (n=10),10 normal Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups with statistic random and the number of each group were 4,3 and 3. (2) the injection group(n=20), 20 rats with HAE were divided into 3 groups with statistic random and the number of each group were 8,6 and 6. Both the control group and injection group rats were underwent a portal vein injection of LUF with the dose of 0.2 millilitre, and then they were killed 15minutes, 4 days or 7 days after the injection, the livers were removed for low-kilovoltage radiography and microscopy to investigate the distribution of the LUF. Results: LUF can selectedly permeate into the focus after portal vein injection in 9 rats with HAE examed by low-kilovoltage radiography, as well as the sign of the portal vein being pressed and processed. The aggradation of LUF can be seen in the inflammational reaction strip in 8 rats when examed by microscopy with Sudan IV,and there was no statistic difference in the two ways(P>0.05). Conclusions: The operation of portal vein injection with LUF in the...
