Objective: In this thesis, we extracted composition of Ramuli Cinnamomi and Glycyrrhizae Decoction by modern methods of Chinese pharmaceutical chemistry setting about kinds of animal models of arrhythmia. By observe its pharmacodynamic and pharmacological action, we ascertained active components and foundamental mechanism of resisting experimental arrhythmia so that to provide reference for pharmacodynamic material foundation in pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medcine and research of compatibility relation.Methods : We observed the effect of Ramuli Cinnamomi and Glycyrrhizae Decoction and its extractive composition on experimental arrhythmia and detected ATP enzyme activity of cardiac muscle tissue and contents of NO by experiments of mouse ventricular fibrillation caused by chloroform, rats arrhythmia induced by barium chloride, rats ventricular arrhythmia induced by aconitine, guinea-pigs caused by ouabain and rats myocardial ischemical reperfusion injury.Results: Ramuli Cinnamomi and Glycyrrhizae Decoction and its extractive composition of water and 30% ethanol have evident antagonism to kinds of experimental arrhythmia, they also can increase ATP enzyme activity of cardiac muscle tissue and contents of NO of rats. Comparing with model control group, they act significantly (P<0.05 or P<0.01 ) .Conclusion: Ramuli Cinnamomi and Glycyrrhizae Decoction has complicating effects of resisting arrhythmia and myocardial ischemical reperfusion injury. At the same time, we almost ascertain that the active components for resisting arrhythmia and myocardial ischemical reperfusion injury are composition of water and 30% ethanol. In this experiment, we established the foundation ofinvestigating active components of Ramuli Cinnamomi andGlycyrrhizae Decoction deeply.
