Background: The APC ( adenomatous polyposis coli ) tumor suppressor controls the stability of the wnt singaling pathway ,and is the key roles in the development of oral spuamous cell carcinoma. In the present study ,APC has been observed to act with important genes of colorectal carcinoma ,and regulate the wnt singaling pathway through bate-catenin degradation complex, which is essential for development and carcinogenesis in human oral squamous carcinoma. APC plays a central role in wnt singaling pathway which determines wnt stimulation and unormal-response. p63 also is a tumor suppressor which acts as important factor in the occurrence of oral squamous cell carcinoma. we have observed that there were some change in the level of the gene transcription product and the localization of APC and p63 in canceration of human tumor. Here , we analyzed each target tissue of normal squamous epithelium, epithelial dysplasia, and squamous cell carcinoma(SCC) of oral case, to make clear the machenism of APC in canceration of SCC.Objective: To investigate the prognostic value and clinicopathological significance of tumor suppressor APC and p63 , as well as their expression in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) .Methods: Immunohistochemical analysis of the expression of APC and p63, In which specimens including normal oral mucosa ,epithelial dysplasia and oral squamous cell carcinoma were performed in 46 OSCC cases of formalin fixed-paraffin embedded with elivision...
