| Objectives: To evaluate the eficacy of method of Smoothing the liver and Regulating Qi for prostatodynia in â…¢B chronic prostatitis.Methods: We choose 60 patients all with prostatodynia and randomly divide them into two groups. The treatment group includes 31 patients was treated for 4 weeks with Chinese medicine Aike concoction ,which belong to the method of Smoothing the Liver and Regulating Qi. While the control group 29 patients was treated for 4 weeks with Qianliexian concoction, which belong to the method of Promoting Blood Circulation to Remove Blood Stasis. The NIH chronic prostatitis symptom score was used to grade symptoms at the beginning and the end of the study.Results: The total efective rate in treatment group was higher than that of control group. But the different between them was not remarkable(P>0.05 ). The total marked rate was remarkably higher than that of the control group(P<0.05 ). Scores of total NIH-CPSI and urinary tract symptom were more decreased in treatment group than that in control group (P<0.05 ).
