Objective: To study the expression of JAB1, Cx43 and p27kip1 in the pathological scar and their mutual relationship, then to investigate their roles and probable mechanism in the pathogenesis of abnormal scar.Methods: Immunohistochemistry and computerized imaging analysis were used to detect the expression and distribution of JAB1, Cx43 and p27kip1 in keloid, hypertrophic scar and normal skin. Statistics was used to analyze the data.Results: JAB1 expression was much higher in keloid(Mean IOD 6927.81±805.05) and hypertrophic scar(Mean IOD 6652.01±870.82) than in normal skin(Mean IOD 2553.91±554.67)(P<0.01). p27kip1 expression was much lower in keloid(Mean IOD 1258.86±406.09) and hypertrophic scar(Mean IOD 1481.82±575.74) than in normal skin(Mean IOD 2553.91±554.67) (P<0.01) .
