Expression Of Jab1 And P27kip1 In Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Its Clinical Significance

Objective:To investigate the expression of Jab1 and p27kip1 protein in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent tissues, analyse the relationship with clinicopathologic variables.Methods: Expression of Jab1 and p27kip1 protein was determined by Envision immunohistochemistry and the Western-blot(58 cases) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent tissues. The test datas were analyzed byχ2 tests and Spearman correlation analysis.Results: (1)The expression of Jab1 were mainly in cell cores, and minority expressed in cell liquid, the positive expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent tissues were 63.8%(37/58)and 34.48%(20/58). Also the expression of p27kip1 were mainly in cell cores, and minority expressed in cell liquid, the positive expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent tissues were 43.1%(25/58)and 69.0%(40/58).(2)Jab1 and p27kip1 postive expression were correlated with the tumor clinical type,differentiation, the depth of invasion and the lymph node metastasis (P<0.05), and were no correlation with the tumor position and volume.(3)The expression of Jab1 in Western-blot in carcinoma had 40 cases higher than adjacent tissues,while p27kip1 only 13 cases. (4)The percentage of Jab1 and p27kip1 protein postive expression in esophageal cancer tissues show a significant difference(P<0.05),and a negative correlation between Jab1 and p27kip1(r=-0.531,P =0.0132).Conclusion: The negative correlation expression on Jab1 and p27kip1 protein contribute to the development and progression of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, Combined detection of the expression of Jab1 and p27kip1 may be useful in evaluating the biological behavior and synthetical cures after opteration.
