IntroductionWith the development of life level of human and the number of old people, morbidity of prostate cancer increased noticeably in recent years.PSMA is a sort of transmembrane protein of II type that lies in cell membrane of human prostate. Horoszewicz had found the expression of PSMA in the sections of freezing organization twenty years ago, but it was noticed in recent years. Researchers recognized that PSMA was more specific than PSA and found that it would apply early diagnosis of prostate cancer and metastasized cancer and detection after operation. CD44 is a sort of transmembrane protein. It is composed of CD44s and CD44v. CD44v6 is one of ten secondary type of CD44. As a sort of cell adhesion molecules, it is closely relative with infiltration and metastasis of cancer.Nowadays, the research about expression of PSMA and CD44v6 is less in human prostate cancer. Our studies apply immunohistochemistry to detect expression of CD44v6 in human normal prostate, benign prostatic hypertrophy and prostate cancer, to research the relationship between the expression and infiltration and metastasis in human prostate cancer. Furthermore, it might be an efficacious index to predict the metastasis and prognosis of prostate cancer.
