Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is a new separation technique, which is considered as one of the powerful Analytical Chemistry branches, and also an important improvement of the separation sciences after high performance liquid chromatography in the early 1980s.In order to establish a rapid, high efficiency, economic and simple technique for the determination of steroids tablets and bisoprolol fumarate in human plasma. Non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis (NACE) methods for steroids tablets (medroxyprogesterone acetate, estradiol valerate, triamcinolone, levonorgestrel, compound levonorgestrel) and CE-laser-induced fluorescence method for the determination of bisoprolol fumarate in human plasma were developed, respectively. In this dissertation, two aspects on the study have been carried out.Optimization for separation conditions of above drugs such as solvents, the pH values of buffer solution, the sorts and concentrations of buffer solution, separation voltage, separation temperature and additions, capillary electrophoresis were established as follows:1. Under the optimized conditions, the above pharmaceutics were determined by non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis. Methodology evaluations were made from accuracy, precision, limits of detection, stability, linear ranges, etc.2 . The biological samples were pretreated and derivatized by fluorescein isothiocyanate,then analyzed by capillary electrophoresis. Capillary electrophoresis-laser induced fluorescence was developed to measure the plasma concentration and evaluated from recovery, precision, sensitivity, linearity, etc.The results show that the non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis was applied to control the quality of above pharmaceutics (single and compound ) and wasn't reported. The method was simple, rapid, cheap and it was suitable for the daily determination of steroids.Capillary electrophoresis is a new better way for the analysis of biological samples. Capillary electrophoresis-laser induced fluorescence method is simple, rapid, sensitive and less consumption. It can be applied to determine the concentration of bisoprolol fumarate in human plasma.
