Clinical Study On Female Simple Obesity Treated By The Method Of Catgut Implantation At Acupoint

ObjectiveTo observe the curative effect on female simple obesity treated by the method of catgut implantation at acupoint, with the acupuncture group as the control group. To provide clinical basis for the treatment of simple obesity, and to discuss the effective method of treatment on this disease in clinic.MethodsFirstly, we reviewed, summarized and analyzed both the ancient and modern documents on the simple obesity. Secondly, we based on these document and evaluation and analysis meter fore-and-aft clinical treatment to establish the survey questionnaire of clinical symptoms. We observed 60 patients who got simple obesity and divided them into the catgut embedding therapy group and the control group that was the acupuncture group.ResultsAs to the overall evaluation on the effect fore-and-aft treatment of both groups, statistics analysis showed that there was significant difference between the catgut embedding therapy group and the control group in the aspects of curative effect, plumpness and body weight index (P<0.01). The body weight index improvement in the catgut embedding therapy group was better than that in the control group.ConclusionThe treatment of catgut implantation at acupoint on simple obesity was an effective method and deserved to be spread in clinic.
