Viscum coloratum(Kom.)Nakai, which belongs to genus Viseum of the Loranthaceae family,is distributed widely across our country, especially in Northern China.According to the modern pharmacological research, the plants of genus Viscum show several kinds of medicinal effects, such as antitumor;antiarrhythmia, antivirus, antioxidation, etc. In order to find the pharmacological-active compounds of mistletoe, exploit and utilize this medicinal plant resource, the studies on chemical constituents of Viscum coloratum(Kom.)Nakai growing in Chengde,Hebei province were carried out.The mistletoe alcohol extracts were obtained by refluxing with 75%ethanol, which were further separated and purified through silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 chromatography and 16 compounds were got.Among them 12 compounds isolated from mistletoe were characterized by chemical reaction,IR,MS,1H-NMR and 13C-NMR,along with comparing the data with those reported in literatures. The compounds identified as follows: loliolide(1),(+)-epipinoresinol(2),syringaresinol(3),7,3',4'-trimthylquercetin(5),nicotinamide (6),3-epi-betulinic acid(7),betulonic acid(8),β-amyrin acetate(9),mixture ofβ-amyrin and lupeol(10),oleanolic acid(11),pentacosanol(12),β-sitosterol(13).Compounds 1-7 and compound 12 were obtained from genus Viscum for the first time, compound 8 was obtained from Viscum eoloratum(Kom.)Nakai for the first time. These studies were useful for the further research and development of mistletoe.
