Transient Effect Of Acupuncture Combining With Massage Vibration Of Fengchi Points For Abnormality In Vertebral-basilar Artery Flow Velocity By Cervical Spondylosis

Objective: To observe the transient effect of acupuncture at cervical Jiaji pointscombining with Massage Vibration of Fengchi points for abnormality in vertebral-basilarartery blood flow velocity by cervical spondylosis, with transcranial Doppler (TCD)andclinical symptom scoring table, So we were going to find a objective basis for the improvingtreatment of this disease.Method: Choosing 40 cases of patients for abnormality in vertebral-basilar artery bloodflow velocity by cervical spondylosis. According to Random number table 40 cases wererandomly divided into 2 groups: Acupuncture at cervical Jiaji points combining with MassageVibration of Fengchi points(observer group)20 cases, Acupuncture at jiaji points (controlgroup)20 cases. According to neck X-ray changing two groups took corresponding bilateralcervical Jiaji points; After acupuncture being completed, the group were continued toMassage Vibration of Bilateral Fengchi points. To detect the following Detection:(1)Transcranial Doppler (TCD): Vp, Vm, Vd, PI, RI. (2) clinical symptom scoring table, andrecord score.Results: (1)40 patients for abnormality in vertebral-basilar artery blood flow velocity bycervical spondylosis, were having 35 patients who had TCD mainly of vertebral-basilar artery(VBA)flow velocity speed; 5 patients showed TCD velocity slowed. (2) There was a notablestatistical significance between before and after treatment of blood flow velocity of Vp ofVBA in observer group(P＜0.01); There was a statistical significance between befbre and aftertreatment of blood flow velocity of Vp of VBA in control group(P＜0.05); There werestatistical signficant difference after treating of blood flow velocity of Vp of VBA in both twomethods, the observer group was better than the control group(P＜0.05). (3)There was anotable statistical significance between before and after treatment of blood flow velocity Vm of VBA in observer group(P＜0.01); There was a statistical significance between before andafter treatment of blood flow velocity of Vm of VBA in control group(P＜0.05); There werestatistical signficant difference after treating of blood flow velocity of Vm of VBA in bothtwo methods, the observer group was better than the control group(P＜0.05); (4)There was anotable statistical significance between before and after treatment of blood flow velocity ofVd of VBA in observer group(P＜0.01); There was a statistical significance between beforeand after treatment of blood flow velocity of Vd of VBA in control Group(P＜0.05); Therewere no statistical signficant difference after treating of blood flow velocity of Vd of VBA inboth two methods(P＞0.05); (5)There were no statistical signficant difference between beforeand after treating of PI,RI in both two methods(P＞0.05); (6)All the indexes of clinicalsymptoms between before and after treating had statistical significance in both twogroups(P＜0.05); There were statistical signficant difference after treating in vertigo andnausea(P＜0.05), but no statistical signficant difference after treating in neck and shoulder pain,headache and uncomfortable symptoms with head extending(P＞0.05).Conclusion:(1) TCD of patients for abnormality in vertebral-basilar artery blood flow velocity bycervical spondylosis were speeded abnormally of VBA.(2) Two methods had improved blood flow velocity between before and after treatmentof VBA in both two groups; Comparison of the efficacy of two groups, the observer groupwas better than the control group in the blood flow velocity of Vp, Vm of VBA. Butcomparison of the efficacy of two groups, there was no statistic signficant difference in theblood flow velocity of Vd of VBA.(3) There was no statistic signficant difference between before and after treatmen of PI,RI of VBA in both two groups; Comparison of the efficacy of two groups, there was nostatistic signficant difference. The two methods can't impact the vascular flexibility andcompliance in both two groups.(4) All the indexes of clinical symptoms between before and after treating had improvedin both two groups; There were statistical signficant difference after treating in vertigo andnausea, but no statistic signficant difference after treating in neck and shoulder pain, headacheand uncomfortable symptoms with head extending.(5) Acupuncture at cervical Jiaji points combining combining with massaging vibrationmanipulation of Fengchi points, could improve abnormality in vertebral-basilar artery bloodflow velocity by cervical spondylosis, ease neck muscle spasm, and relax neck and shoulderpain; It was better than acupuncture Jiajixue group.
