Objective:To investigate the relationship of Helicobacter.pylori with cholecystolithiasis. Methods:E LISA and immunohistochemistry approach was used to detect Helicobacter pylori from gallstone, bile and gallbladder mucosa in 47 Cholecystolithiasis Patients (experimental group)and 26 patients without gallstone(control group)Results:In Cholecystolithiasis Patients, the positive rate of Helicobacter.pylori in gallbladder mucosa, bile and gallstone was 19.1%,48.6%and 60.0%.the positive rate of Helicobacter.pylori in bile and gallstone was significantly higher than in gallbladder mucosa, there was significant difference(p<0.05).In patients without gallstone, the positive rate of Helicobacter.pylori in gallbladder mucosa and bile was 23.1%,55.0%.the positive rate in bile was significantly higher than in gallbladder mucosa, there was significant difference(p<0.05). Cholecystolithiasis Patients Compared with patients without gallstone, the positive rate of Helicobacter.pylori in gallbladder mucosa and bile was 19.1%,23.1%,48.6%,55.0%,there was no significant difference(p>0.05).In the positive samples by immunohistochemistry, Helicobacter.pylori was found in epithelium surface of gallbladder mucosa and gland cava, and was spiral shaped, short spiral and globular shaped. Conclusion:Helicobacter pylori are commonly present in the gallbladder of patients with gallstone diseases and in controls, implying that Helicobacter pylori infection alone may not play a significant role in the formation of gallstones. However, our results do not exclude the possibility of Helicobacter infection as a cofactor in the development of gallstones.
