Background:Coal-fired power plants in operation produce large amounts of the occupational disease hazards, such as dust, noise, poison, etc. Currently, coal-fired power plants using more advanced production technology, mechanization, a relatively high degree of automation, many occupational hazards in many areas have been well controlled, but hazards of dust and noise still not be controlled, pneumoconiosis and occupational noise-induced hearing loss cases still occur. By conduct on-site survey of occupational health of three coal-fired power plants to study the key control measures for the main occupational hazards (dust, noise) of coal-fired power plants, to provide the basis for take reasonable protective measures, and to better protect the health of workers.Objective:By analyzing the production process, status of occupational hazards, and control measures of Coal-fired power plants to determine the critical control measures, and to propose the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the found issues in the coal-fired power plants. To provide the basis for the protection of workers health by Controlling the source of major occupational hazards.Method:By analyzing the results of on-site survey of occupational ealth,occupational hazards detection, personal protection equipment,establish the fault tree. Using the method of combining the fault tree analysis and the cluster analysis, identify the major occupational hazards of key- control measures.Result:Through this study, determining the key control measures of pneumoconiosis disease prevention, for example, strengthen the dust prevention measures for plough coal, the seal of boiler to prevent leakage, the dustproof measures at the place of coal crusher produce dust, and the dust suppression in water mill, the employing unit release the dust mask complyed with national standards for workers, decrease the laborers operation time of touching dust in dust work site, the employing unit change dust mask in time for workers, take occupational health training for laborers, guide them to wear dust mask correctly; the key control measures for occupational noise-induced hearing loss are reducing working time of contacting noise, take soundproofing,silencing and absorption of noise for air dynamic equipment silencing, try to take sound insulation measures for mechanical noise equipment, ensure the rigor of turbine regulator is well, using sound insulation and sound absorption measures for boiler fan, ensure good rigor of boiler safety valve, set up the warning mark with perfect Chinese warning specification.Conclusion:Strengthen the measures of plough coal dust prevention and boiler seal, take measures of dust prevention at the producing dust of coal crusher, spray for dust suppression at the coal pulverizer, furthermore, reduce the gap of coal of belt nose (tail), clean belt floors in time, set filter at the the belt head (tail) and run normal antibacterial dust,sealing dust,vacuuming measures; take measures of damping,sound insulation,sound attenuation sound-absorbing etc to mechanical and air dynamic noise equipment; at the same time, reduce the time of contacting dust and noise, distribute and change personal protective equipment regularly and guiding them wear correctly, set warning marks with perfect chinese warning specifications. in the condition currently that the production technology of coal-fired power plants is advanced, the degree of mechanization and automation is higher, production equipment run normally, the Staff did not violate compasses operation, etc, on the basis of control measures in existing, apply pertinently above the key control measures of "pneumoconiosis disease" and the "occupational noise deaf", provides the basis for coal-fired power plants control occupational hazards more effectively and protectlaborers health.
