Expression Of CXCR4 And CCR7 In Laryngeal Carcinoma

Objective To observe the expressions of CXCR4 and CCR7 in normal laryngeal mucous membrane tissues and laryngeal carcinoma tissues and primitively clarify the relationship between CCR7 or CXCR4 and the malignity information of laryngeal carcinoma such as differentiation grade, clinical stage and lymph node metastasis.Methods The expressions of CXCR4 and CCR7 in 30 cases laryngeal carcinoma tissues(experiment group)and 20 cases normal laryngeal tissues(control group)were examined with immunohistochemistry. And qualitative analysis of light microscopy with computer-assisted image system was employed.Results Our results showed: (1) CXCR4 and CCR7 were positively expressed in most laryngeal carcinoma tissues(the positivity percentage were 83.3% and 86.7% respectively)while they were negative or low-positive in the control group(the positivity percentage were 35% and 30% respectively). There are significant differences between experiment group and the control group (P<0.01). (2) CXCR4 and CCR7 expressions in laryngeal carcinoma declined with the rise of the differentiation grade of laryngeal carcinoma(P<0.05). The levels of CXCR4 and CCR7 expressions were significantly higher in the group with lymph node metastasis than those without lymph node metastasis(P<0.01). And the same results appeared between laryngeal carcinoma groups with different clincical stages(P<0.01)(.3)The level of CXCR4 expression in laryngeal carcinoma tissues was correlated with the counterpart of CCR7(r=0.837, P=0.01).Conclusion CXCR4 and CCR7 are highly expressed in laryngeal carcinoma, and their expressions were associated with differentiation grade of laryngeal carcinoma , clinical stage and lymph node metastasis.
