Expression Of Nuclear Factor, Matrix Metalloproteinase-1 And Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor In Liver Cirrhosis And Significance | | Posted on:2009-10-07 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y Chen | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360242999884 | Subject:Pathology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective: To study the expression of nuclear factor(NF-κB), matrix metalloproteinase-1(MMP-1),and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in liver cirrhosis tissues, and to discuss the possible meanings of their roles in liver fibrosis and the relationship among them.In order to find a new way to prevent and cure this disease. Methods: 57 liver cirrhosis and 10 normal specimens were detected by immunohistochemistry (Envision). Results: NF-κB was expressed in sinusoidal endothelial cell, hepatic stellate cell and some hepatocytes .The expression of NF-κB was increased in liver cirrhosis tissues(x2=5.38, P < 0.05).MMP-1 was expressed in mesenchymal cells and parts of hepatocytes, especially in the fibrous septum and portal area . The expression of MMP-1 was increased in liver cirrhosis tissues(x2=8.233, P<0.05) . VEGF was expressed in hepatocytes. The expression of VEGF was increased in liver cirrhosis tissues(x2=10.876,P<0.05).The expressions of VEGF and NF-κB in liver cirrhosis tissues were uniform(x~2= 2.45 ,P>0.05). The expressions of MMP-1 and NF-κB in liver cirrhosis tissues were not uniform ( x2= 8.654 ,P<0.05).The expressions of MMP-1 and VEGF in liver cirrhosis tissues were uniform ( x2= 2.23, P>0.05). Conclusion: NF-κB,MMP-1 and VEGF evidently promote the development of liver cirrhosis. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Liver, cirrhosis, Nuclear, factor, Matrix, metalloproteinase, Immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
