| Objective To investigate the expression, clinical significance and relationship of matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)and Nuclear factor of kappa B(NF-κB)in human lung cancer tissue. Methods The expression of MMP-9,NF-κB in 79 cases of lung cancer and 40 cases of no-cancerous lung disease were assessed by immunohistochemistry, and their correlations with cliniopathological factors were statistically analyzed. Results The positive rate of MMP-9,NF-κB was 69.62%, 65.82%in lung cancer and 12.50%,17.50%(p<0.05)in no-cancerous lung disease respectively. The expression of MMP-9 and NF-κB correlated with TNM stages and lymph node metastasis That of MMP-9 correlated with differentiation of lung cancer(p<0.05).In addition, the expression of NF-κB had a positive correlation with the expression of MMP-9(r=0.513,p<0.01).Conclusion The high expression of MMP-9 and NF-κB may be present in lung cancer tissues. The high positive rate of MMP-9 and NF-κB may correlate to malignant degree and lymph node metastasis NF-κB may promote invasion and metastasis of lung cancer through up regulating the expression of MMP-9.The expression of MMP-9 and NF- κB may help to judge invasion and metastasis lung cancer. |
