Objective:Food intolerance may induce chronic urticaria. We look back results of chronic urticaria patients and their subsequent complexions to analyze the correlation between food and the disease as well as the significance of food-specific IgG antibody test in treatment of chronic urticaria.Method:Select 100 patients according to definite standards.Measure the relative amount of 14 food-specific IgG antibody in serum of 100 chronic urticaria patients by ELISA.Analysis the results and guide the patients to rectify their food diet according to them.6 months later, compare the change of the symptoms recorded by 4 class grade by x~2 test. And compare the measurement of food-specific IgG by t test. Results:The amount of several food-specific IgG antibody increased in 67 of the 100 patients. The number of them who got 1,2,3,4 and 5 or more intorlerable foods were 4,12,5,20 and 16.33 of the 100 patients got an all negative result. The positive rate were:beef:9%,chicken:1%,codfish: 9%,corn:12%,crab:44%,egg-white/yolk:47%,mus-hroom:3%,cow'smilk:17%, pork:3%,rice:16%,shrimp:27%,soybean:24%,tomato:12%and wheat:25%.48 of the 67 patients rectified their food diet in the later 6 months. There were obvious alleviation of their symptom as well as the amount of food-specific IgG antibody. Conclusion:The amount of food-specifi IgG antibody might increase in patients that suffer form the chronic urticaria and the positive rate of crab and egg white/yolk are considerable.Eliminate the intolerable foods from their diet might alleviate their symptom as well as the amount of IgG antibody. There are correlation between food and chronic utricaria. Food-specific IgG antibody test may exert considerable significance in treatment of the patients.
