Effect Of Electroacupuncture And Ear Acupuncture On Resistin And Ghrelin In Simple And Obesity Patients

[Objective]To investigate the underlying mechanism of electroacupuncture and ear acupuncture in relationship and changes between insulin resistance and serum resistin,ghrelin,blood lipid,in juvenile simple and obesity patients.[Methods]A total of 60 simple obesity outpatients(electroacupuncture group) and 40 normal subjects(control group)were observed in this study.For obesity patients,the body acupuncgture were choosed at zhongwan(REN 12),tianshu(S 25),shuifen(REN 9),guilai,zhongji(REN 3),riyue(G 24),qimen(LIV 14),liangqiu(S 34),yinlingquan(SP 9);the auricular-plaster therapy were choosed at shenmen(Pt.shenmen),waibi(Pt.external nose),fei(Pt.lung),pi(Pt.spleen),gan(Pt.liver),dachang(Pt.large intestine),xiaochang(Pt.small intestine),neifenmi(Pt.internal secretion),shenshangxian(Pt.adrenal).Before and after treatment,the patients' and normal subjects' height and body weight were detected for calculating body mass index(BMI),homeostasis model assessment(HOMA),resistin,and fasting insulin(FINS),IAI,fasting glucose(FBG)and ghrelin.[Result]The clinical total effective rate was 91.7%.Compared with control group,BMI,serum FINS, Resistin,FBG,and HOMA-IR values of acupuncture group were significantly higher(P＜0.05,0.01),Comparison between pre-and post treatment showed that after acupuncture treatment,serum BMI,FINS,resistin,and lipid contents and HOMA-1R decreased considerably(P＜0.05,0.01),and the Ghrelin's changing isn't very obviously,denoting that acupuncture could effectively lower obesity induced abnormal increase of the aforementioned indexes.[Conclusion]Acupuncture can relieve insulin resistance,lower the lipid.The inhibitory effect of acupuncture on insulin resistance is somewhat related to arise in lipid level and is thus an effective remedy for simple obesity,the Ghrelin which doesn't change obviosly maybe can help to maintain the weight losing state.
