Objective:To investigate the relationship between the expression of VEGF and STAT3 and the clinicopathological factors of endometrial cancer and studied the correlations between VEGF and STAT3.Methods:We applied tissue chip technique and Immunohistochemical staining method to detect the expression of VEGF and STAT3 in endometrial carcinoma.Results:①The positive rates of VEGF and STAT3 in endometdal carcinoma were demonstrated significant difference compared with normal endometdal tissue.②The expression of STAT3 and VEGF had relation with histological grade,TNM stage, lymph node metastasis in adenoendometrial carcinoma. The differences reached significant values(P<0.05).The two had no relation with age(P>0.05).③Positive correlation was found between the expression of STAT3 and VEGF in endometrial carcinoma (r=0.702,p=0.000<0.05).Conclusion:STAT3 and VEGF are over-expressed in endometrial carcinoma. The expression of STAT3 had relation with histological grade,TNM stage, lymph node metastasis in endometrial carcinoma.VEGF might be up-regulated by STAT3 to result in tumor angiogenesis.Therefore,STAT3 may play an important role in the carcinogenesis and progression of endometrial carcinoma.
