Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Of Stagnation Of Liver-Qi With Deficiency Of The Spleen Complicated With Damp-Heat Syndrome With Hugan Dripping Pill

Objective: The purpose of this research is to validate the clinical effect, the security, the patience and the adverse reactions of the medicine by observing clinical cases in which the candidates take the medicine which has changed from Hugan tablet into Hugan dripping pill. So, the patients can select a new medicine which comes up against alcoholic fatty liver disease of stagnation of liver-QI with deficiency of the spleen complicated with damp-heat syndrome.Method: A multicentre random double-blind and double-bummy parallel control protocol was employed in the trial 48 patients with AFLD. The patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group.Each group had 24 cases. The two group were combined with the Hugan dripping pill and Hugan tablet. The period of treatment of each group was 4 weeks. We observed and compared the situation of patients in the clinical syndrom and sign, the degree of seriousness with B ultrasound checking, the change of liver and kidney function.Result:①the overall clinical effective rate of Hugan dripping pill in Traditional Chinese Medicine was 90.91% , the Hugan tablet was 81.82% , there were no meaning of statistics in differences between the two groups (P>0.05), During the course of clinical observation, we find that Hugan dripping pill has obvious curative effect on hypochondriac pain, abdominal distention and so on, and there are no adverse reactions after taking the dripping pill.②The total effective rate of the degree of seriousness with B ultrasound checking in treating group and comparing group were 63.64% and 59.09% , there were no meaning of statistics in differences between the two groups (P>0.05);③Both of the two group could depress conspicuously the blood ALT and AST level compared with before (P<0.05),but there were no remarkable differences between the treating group and comparing group (P>0.05).Conclusion: the clinical observation of the groups who take Hugan dripping pill and Hugan tablet proves that Hugan dripping pill can improve with clinical syndromes, improve the liver function and depress conspicuously the blood ALT,AST andγ-GT level,relieve the degree of seriousness with B ultrasound checking. So it goes to show that "Hugan dripping pill" is an ideal medicine for treating the AFLD.
