Objective:To investigate the effects of Hypericum attenuatum Choisy. extract on experimental myocardial ischemia injury and cardiac arrhythmia in mice.Methods:Firstly,cardiac arrhythmia model was induced by Calcium chloride and trichlormethane in mice.The changes of electrocardiogram and incidence of ventricular fibrillation were observed.Secondly,the myocardial ischemia injury model was established by isoproterenol in mice.The survival time of mice,the activities of serum LDH and CK,the activities of SOD and levels of MDA in myocardium were all measured.Results:1.Compared with model group,Hypericum attenuatum Choisy.extract could significantly inhibit the emergence and duration of cardiac arrhythmia in mice.2.Hypericum attenuatum Choisy.extract could obviously decrease the incidence of ventricular fibrillation.3.Hypericum attenuatum Choisy.extract could remarkably prolong the the survival time of mice after injured by isoproterenol in the close normobaric hypoxia.4.Hypericum attenuatum Choisy.extract could substantially decrease the activities of serum LDH and CK.It also increased the activity of SOD and decreased the levels of MDA in myocardium significantly.Conclusion:The results indicated that Hypericum attenuatum Choisy. extract had protective effects on myocardial ischemia induced by isoproterenol in mice.And it also had preventive effects on the cardiac arrhythmia in mice.
