Objective:To analyze the relationships between the plasma concentration of N-terminal pro-brain B-type natriuretic peptides(NT-proBNP) and New York Heart Association(NYHA) Classification, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-systolic dimension (LVESD),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),and investigate the value of NT-proBNP in the evaluation of cardiac function.Compare the differences between therapeutic effects of western medicine regular therapy and conbined therapy of traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine;to determine the therapeutic mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine preparation-Kangdaxin Oral Liquid.Methods:1.90 subjects were selected, including 60 patients with chronic heart failure(CHF) and 30 healthy controls. The diagnosis of clinical physician was considered to be the golden standard for heart failure. The plasma concentration of NT-proBNP was determined by enzyme -linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).LVEF,LVESD and LVEDD were measured with echocardiography.2.Patients with CHF(NYHAⅡ~Ⅳ)were randomly divided into western medicine regular therapy group and combined therapy of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine group, respectively was treated by western medicine regular therapy and combined therapy of Kangdaxin Oral Liquid and western medicine.Remeasure these indica-tors 14 days later.3.Data was estimated by SPSS 13.0.Results:1.The mean plasma concentration of NT-proBNP was significantly higher in CHF patients than that of healthy controls[(1 848.07±721.2)pg/ml vs(268.23±120.60)pg/ml, P<0.01].2.The plasma concentrations of NT-proBNP showed positive correlation with NYHA classification(r=-0.856,P<0.01),negative correlation with LVEF(r=-0.785,P<0.01), positive correlation with LVESD(r=-0.664,P<0.01) and positive correlation with LVEDD (r=-0.636,P<0.01).3.After therapy, the plasma concentrations of NT-proBNP in two groups decreased significantly after therapy(P<0.01) and the concentrations in combined therapy of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine group were lower compared with western medicine regular therapy group(P<0.05);The LVEF and cardiac function in CHF patients improved significantly after therapy(P<0.05).4.The therapeutic effects of combined therapy of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine group are better than that of the western medicine regular therapy group(92.31%vs 80.0%,P<0.05). Conclusions:1.Compared with healthy controls, the plasma concentrations of NT-proBNP were significantly higher in CHF patients, and increased with the increasing of heart damage. NT-proBNP can reliability reflect cardiac function.2.The therapeutic Effects of combined therapy of Kangdaxin Oral Liquid and western medicine was better compared with western medicine regular therapy.
