Objective:To investigate the effects of modified Di Dang Decoction on tumor inhibition and T lymphocyte subpopulation in mice bearing S180 sarcoma.Methods:S180 sarcoma bearing mice models were established and then randomized into four groups,including model control group, the high dose group of modified Di Dang Decoction,the middle dose group of modified Di Dang Decoction and the low dose group modified Di Dang Decoction.There were ten mice in every group. In addition,un-modeled ten mice were located on the normal group.Twenty-four hours later model control group and the different dose group of modified Di Dang Decoction were respectively fed with same amount of natural saline and modified Di Dang Decoction at dose 28g/kg, 14g/kg, 7g/kg,once a day for 10 days. Twenty days later,put them to death and studied the tumor inhibiting rates. The proportion of the T lymphocyte subpopulation was detected by indirect IF staining in the every experimental mouse. The CD4~+ T cells and CD8~+ T cells quantity were counted. Furthermore the ratios of the CD4~+ /CD8~+ were counted.Results:The tumor inhibiting rates of modified Di Dang Decoction including the high dose group, the middle dose group and the low dose group on S180 sarcoma were 42.31%, 34.62%, 21.54%. There had the significant differences with the model control group(p<0.05 or p<0.01).Moreover the high dosage group was more effective(p<0.01).The numbers of the CD4~+ T cells and the ratios of the CD4~+/CD8~+ of the modified Di Dang Decoction were higher than that of the model control group. Moreover, the high dosage group was an efficient group.Conclusion:Modified Di Dang Decoction could improve the immune function in tumor-bearing mice. Modified Di Dang Decoction high dosage group restrained tumor cell growth effectively. To further study, modified Di Dang Decoction may be an effective anti-tumor medicine.
