The research on fatigue is a hot topic, because it affects our living quality seriously. The two kinds of characteristic animal and plant resources in our country:Cistanche Deserticola and Andrias daridianus are reported for their nutrition value and Tonify-effect in the traditional use. The research is to verify their antifatigue effect. Moreover, the optimal method to obtain Phenylethanoid Glycosides (PeG) from Cistanche Deserticola and the preparation methods of Andrias daridianus have also been studied, which can provide a reliable evidence for the comprehensive utilization of characteristic resources in our country. The main research results are as follows:1) The optimal technique to extract Phenylethanoid Glycosides (PeG) from Cistanche Deserticola was found by orthogonal design method, which provides experimental evidences for the rational utilization of in the future.2) The meal of Andrias daridianus was prepared to evaluate the immunomodulating effects in mice. The results of Carbon clearance test, dinitrofluorobenzene-induced delayed type hypersensitivity test(DTH), serum hemolysin and spleen antibody test show that it can enhance the non-specific and specific immunologic function in mice in certain range of dosage.3) To explore the anti-fatigue function both of extraction of the Cistanche Deserticola and meal of Andrias daridianus, the swimming time of mice and some bio-chemistry indexes were tested, such as lactacidaemia, hepatic glycogen, and serum urea nitrogen. The results show that the two preperations of characteristic resources can obviously increase anti-fatigue actions in mice. The extraction of Cistanche Deserticola shows better experimental effect.
